Shared Savings is a program of the San Francisco United School District to educate students and teachers on the advantages of conserving energy. The Shared Savings graphic identity, done pro bono, solves a number of problems simultaneously. By using the language of simple icons and math, the identity becomes something immediately school-focused and understandable by even the youngest school children while staying fun and uncloying. Moreover, the use of the strong green and icons was something that could be continued by Shared Savings volunteers beyond my involvement in the program.
Gotham was used for the identity materials to match the branding of the SFUSD.
I’m happy to have helped launch this innovative program!
