High Comic Sans/Anti-Helvetica

Why is Comic Sans seen as a “low” typeface? Can it be transformed into an element of high design? I systematically redid classic Helvetica posters/designs in Comic Sans to question how Comic Sans is perceived.Afterwards it occurred to me that this was an excellent way to approach design education. By both imitating the classics and simultaneously modifying them (and thus questioning them), the Comic Sans approach (or more broadly, ANTI) integrates design history, design practice, and design thinking. So I put together the examples in a sample design history workbook.
